A Fun Indoor Activity for Portland's Rainy Days!

We offer paint your own pottery with a great vibe. Come alone and make a friend. Come with friends and/or family and enjoy a respite from the busy world by creating a piece to treasure.  While you paint, know that your work is making a difference to one of the communities we support. One positive action creates another positive one, and on and on.  The Butterfly Effect.

Meet Deanna & Shalom

Picture
Deanna and Shalom have started this mother and daughter owned small business and here’s why:
“When Shalom and her sister were younger my favorite activity to do with them was to paint pottery! Especially for my mother. We were so heartbroken when our local Hillsdale paint your own pottery studio closed down. Soon after we realized there isn’t much to do in the village besides shop and eat (which is wonderful of course.)  So we put our heads together and decided to open up a community space that gives back to the community we love so much.”
10% of proceeds EACH day go to a different non profit close to Deanna and Shalom’s hearts.

We are Deanna and Shalom and we believe art can change the world.

Our Mission

Butterfly Effect Art Space is a community space to paint your own pottery, and have a portion of your sale contribute towards an organization making change in our community and in our world. Each action we take no matter how tiny can make a change. Paint for change.
